Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
GTA 6 Vault ("we", "us", "our") operates the website thegta6vault.com(the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Site, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
GTA 6 Vault is an independent fan site not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. For GDPR purposes, the data controller for this website is the site operator, reachable at contact.thegta6vault@gmail.com.
2. Information Collected
We do not collect personally identifiable information directly. Third-party services integrated into the Site automatically collect certain technical and usage data:
- IP address — anonymised by Google before storage
- Browser type, version, and device type
- Operating system
- Pages visited, scroll depth, and time on page
- Referring URL — how you arrived at the Site
- Country and approximate city — derived from IP
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any other directly identifying data.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing analytics data is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how visitors use the Site so we can improve it, and in displaying relevant advertising to fund the Site. Where required by applicable law (e.g. ePrivacy Directive), we rely on your consent for placing non-essential cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 collects data via cookies and similar technologies. IP anonymisation is enabled — your IP address is truncated before storage. Data is processed by Google LLC and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Vercel Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to measure site performance and page view counts. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-preserving: it does not use cookies and does not store personally identifiable information. Data is aggregated and anonymous. See Vercel's privacy documentation for full details.
Google AdSense
This Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This constitutes interest-based advertising — ads may be personalised based on your browsing history across sites that use Google advertising services.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page, or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. For more information on how Google uses data from advertising, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use Google services.
5. Cookies
The Site uses the following categories of cookies:
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. Persist for up to 2 years.
- Advertising cookies— set by Google AdSense when ads are displayed, used to serve relevant ads. Subject to Google's cookie policy.
You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
6. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We do not operate our own database and do not store any visitor data on our servers.
7. Your Rights (EEA / GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under GDPR:
- Right of access — request a copy of data held about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
Because we do not directly store personal data, requests relating to data held by Google should be submitted through Google's Data & Privacy tools. For any other GDPR enquiries, contact us at contact.thegta6vault@gmail.com.
8. Your Rights (California / CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For CCPA requests, contact us at contact.thegta6vault@gmail.com.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to external websites (e.g. Rockstar Games, YouTube). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services change or as required by law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
