GTA 6 Pre-Order & Pre-Load Guide — Official Dates, Platforms & Everything Confirmed
Source transparency: All guides on GTA 6 Vault are based on officially confirmed information from Rockstar's trailers and announcements, or written from direct gameplay experience. Sections that go beyond confirmed facts are clearly labelled as our own analysis.
Release Date
Grand Theft Auto VI officially releases globally on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is confirmed directly by Rockstar Games.
Pre-Load Start Date
Digital pre-loading officially unlocks at local midnight on November 12, 2026 — one full week before launch. The exact time is based on your PlayStation Store or Xbox Store time zone.
This 7-day window is the only way to guarantee the game is fully downloaded and ready to play the moment servers go live on November 19.
Physical Copies — What You Need to Know
GTA 6 physical editions do not contain a disc. Each box contains a download code. Physical boxes will be available to purchase from November 12, 2026, so you can use the code immediately to begin pre-loading.
Important: If you order a physical copy online, the code may not arrive until release day unless your retailer ships it early. If you want the full 7-day pre-load window, a digital pre-order is the only guaranteed option.
Pre-Order Bonus
All pre-orders placed before launch include the Vintage Vice City Pack. This applies to both digital pre-orders and physical copies purchased before launch.
Supported Platforms at Launch
GTA 6 launches exclusively on:
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 5 Pro
- Xbox Series X|S
No PC version has been confirmed for launch. Rockstar has made no public announcements regarding a PC release date.
Where to Pre-Order
